And that is just one thing that will save billions. But it gets rid of the need for 1000's of gov employees, they won't do it.

I was talking to a guy at work who just retired from the feds. He told me, since he has retired,he has already made back ALL of the money he invested in retirement. And now he works at my work, making decent money as well.

Do you know how many millions of people that are the same? Can we afford this? Fuck no! it is exactly like the auto industry with their fuckin union pensions. They were paying 3 generations of workers. That mathematically does not work unless you triple your price of product.

And you should be commended! And I mean that! But, you are moving up in your career, so that is pretty expected, as long as you do what you are doing. But soon, you will plateau or close to it, where unless you go into your own business, your salary will remain pretty stagnant. At this point, annual 2-4% increase, if you even get that, do not keep up with annual 10% increases on everything!
But I am like you, my house is damn near paid for. I don't live above my means nor squander money just because I get a raise. Most people do.
It is the ongoing increase in our gov spending, causing all the other increases in our costs. It will just get worse.

Yeah in all honesty I'm pretty close to maxed out at my position(which I'm completely fine with), the next step is management (which I want no part of) or a lateral move to the claims department where there is more headroom as far as the payscale goes(also not interested). I'm gonna stay where I'm at and just keep riding the gravy train with biscuit wheels brother.

Thanks, my company has done a lot for me and my family and I will stay with them as long as they'll have me. I won't rub it in (but I'm gonna) I only work M-F 5am - 1:30pm, with a really good chance of working from home here soon :fingers&toescrossed:

That's awesome! I love what I do and make good money and am Very loyal to them but...they pay new people the same as they pay me. I guess that's the republican way. They have no problem flaunting all the "toys" they buy and vacations they take.

My plan is for me wife to get her RN so she can take over as DON at her work (or somewhere else). pay me house off, I can almost work at a 7-11 to cover the rest of my bills with her pay. But I plan on trying to go back into consulting for meself.
