You just said it yourself--Govt. income comes from us, therefore, Govt. money pays for the roads. Of course it's taxpayer money.

My point is the government thinks they create the income, and we are lucky they do. The government has ZERO income producing depts. And these liberals think we need more of these depts to spend our money because without them, we just can't do it.

Really? I am doing pretty well. but all of my cost, my taxes, insurance and every other expense has gone up tremendously, and my pay has been stagnant. It has been fuckin horrible for most. Just look at the cost of necessities, gas, food, power, water..all fuckin up by at least 10%. has ur pay kept up with that? Maybe if you got promotions.

I'm in the same boat here. Fuckin' Republican boss won't pay more! Family first, as long as it's your own. My pay went up 4% in 8 years while inflation has gone up 40%.

I thought that was the best line of the night. Restaurant speak--and he's right. Up here we try to sell $6 chicken dinners because the people just don't go out very much anymore. AYCE Salad Bars are huge here.

Same down here, Chinese buffets are super busy around here.

I was just having this conversation with me youngest son. Debating on what he wants to take etc. My advice to him: With my career, I can damn near go to any city in any state and about any country and get a pretty well paying gig. Choose what you decide to do accordingly.

When I got my Master's in 2005 my company gave me what worked out to a $5/hr raise for no additional responsibilites. I about shit myself when they called me into the office, I thought I was in trouble for something and they hand me this paper with my new pay scale on it and I was like OMFG.
