It's kinda funny, but the last four years for my wife and I they have been the best for us financially and I consider myself a libertarian/moderate republican so who knows...

Really? I am doing pretty well. but all of my cost, my taxes, insurance and every other expense has gone up tremendously, and my pay has been stagnant. It has been fuckin horrible for most. Just look at the cost of necessities, gas, food, power, water..all fuckin up by at least 10%. has ur pay kept up with that? Maybe if you got promotions.

Yes our costs have gone up a lot, but we have both done well at our jobs with raises and we cut our income to debt ratio way down in the last several years so now that sacrifice is starting to pay off a little. I'm not rich by any means, but I live fairly comfortable and we didn't go crazy when the boom was happening, there is something to be said about living within your means.
