Well maybe some, but this shitty economy is a huge reason for it. It isn't cheap going to a race weekend. Trust me.

Have you ever been to a race? Ever? All you know is what you see on teevee.

What shitty economy are we talking about again? Haven't I heard Joey Chitwood say numerous times that they have budget friendly ticket packages? And yes, I've been to two races at Pocono back when I was a kid and used to go to Englishtown for NHRA every year as a kid when I lived in NYC. I've also been to the Gatornationals as well. FTR, I was a Yuuuuuge Nascar fan for about 4 years from 98-02. Then I kinda just lost interest.

She got close to winning there if I recall correctly.

She holds the IRL record for most consecutive races running at the finish: as of October 2, 2011, she had completed 50 consecutive in the running (besting the record by 18)

She won once in IRL and was indy 500 rookie of the year and series rookie of the year.
