Here in Connecticut, plates are checked automatically all the cop cars have plate readers.

If a cop passes you, you can be sure your plate was just checked it a matter of milliseconds.

We're a little slow here in FLA. The cop writes down the number, then radios dispatch, who in turn writes down the number. 45 minutes later the info is known. Of course by then the cop lost focus at dunkin donuts!!
