With ur acct/routing number, I can put that into any Quicken type app, brute force the PW, transfer all ur funds. It happens all the time! Maybe they are scamming this differently, but either way it is a scam!

It is no different than some Kenyan Prince wants you deposit some funds and you will get half!

Ok, the brute force password thing I kind of understand, but with my bank if you mess up three times with the pw, it locks you out and you have to call them to reset it (don't ask me how I know that)

Oh and 100% it's a scam, but it's not like the prince deal, because they actually want you to send them a "processing fee" of some sort before they supposedly release the bogus money, which means you're out the money and never see a dime.

Sorry, I'm just not understanding this one. The only bad I can see from this is either A) He deposits the checks and spends against them and goes into the negative or B) The bank is smart enough to catch it from the beginning and they tell him to get lost. Either way, I can't see how the scammer gets over on this one.
The only way I can see it working for the scammer is if Gene were to contact them and they ask him for money and he was dumb enough to send them something, otherwise I'm stumped on this one.
