I mean come on - what's next? batman vs xmen? they did it in comics... why not crossover again in the movies?

Marvel can't even use all their characters in their Marvel Studios movies because of movie deals with other studios. They are shortly or already have gotten the rights back to Daredevil.

A DC and Marvel movie crossover? Pfft. If that happens pigs will start flying from my ass. I think Sony and Marvel were discussing allowing Spider-Man to be in the shared universe, possibly for Avengers 2, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

comics invite you to buy into an alternate reality. It can be far fetched but since it's still based somewhat in reality (batman doesn't have any actual "superpowers" remember) therefore the movies still have to obey some basic principles.
