When I was in the Cali National Guard, we went to qualify one year, M16. We had 1000's of rounds left that had to be used. Me and like 4 other dudes got to fire them all. fulll auto, semi, sitting, standing, whatever. It was awesome.
When we were done, could just touch the targets, and they just flaked into dust.
Prolly the best firing time I ever had IN MY LIFE.
I loved those days as a range officer.

Were you ever in Germany? When I was in an MP company, I would help run the range for qualifying. They used .45 ammo that had been stored since WWII. I swear to god, this shit was so old and degraded, you could actually see the rounds going down range. These MP's couldn't hit shit.
