This is just my opinion and I could be talking out my ass, but it seems to me, deep down on a subconscious level, he wants to be fired from FM radio. He's fed up with it and perhaps thinks he could cut a deal where he could collect on the rest of his contract in exchange for sitting out FM radio for what's left on it. Meanwhile he can just do the dirt track and IO stuff. But who knows what a court would say in regards to his contract or if they had a legitimate reason to fire him because he didn't break any FCC regulations or do anything he was explicitly told not to in his contract.
I think it's a terrible idea and have said so numerous times on here. We can't do anything besides wait it out.

But I don't want to see them lose their main gig. I think this is an attempt to "go out with a bang." Plus if the story sees a lot of attention, who benefits from it? RadioIO since everyone will want to tune in to hear what he has to say and that's the only place to do so. RadioIO won't suffer the same backlash because it's not a huge corporation that people will give enough of a fuck about to mess with if Bubba is already off the public airwaves.
But it's just a crackpot theory not to be taken seriously.
