plus I dunno if you guys got rid of it - but up here you can't give someone a car - you have to sell it - even if the value is a dollar... then they make you pay taxes on the book value..

Meh, so you have em sell you a vette for $1. After it is all signed, aint shit they can do. of course it probably wouldn't get all the way completed before getting killed by a manager or somethin, but if it did sorry about there luck!

Here in private sales, if you give it away, like I gave my son my old 4x4 truck, you still have to put a value when you register it...just like you guys to pay taxes. So i just put $100, so $7 tax, no biggy!

ah you're lucky - my buddy bought a car for like 100 bucks and had to pay the taxes on two or three grand or something - it was stupid.

I bought a van off a guy for 50 bucks but cause we weren't using it on the road - just the field - we never transfered it over so I didn't have to pay shit...

then I trashed the van and sold it for parts to my cousin hell I think I made 50 on that deal
