Like I said, we have metro ethernet, layer 2 pt to pt between our sites. All IP. T-1's here are based on A. Access charge B. Distance between sites. So a T-1 between here and Orlando costs us about $1500, Our 10M circuit cost us about $550 a month I think. We upgraded that to 70M to one site and 60 to another.
We also have dual Internet connections, a 100M and an 80M.
ISDN Basic worked good because it had 2-64K and 8k channel for signalling. T-1's used Robbed bit Signaling which stole bits arbitrarily for signaling. Fine for voice, complete chaos for data until they came out with B8ZS, and ESF superframing.
We still use ISDN PRI for voice, but those only go from our switch to their demarc, where they are just converted in a mux and sent over the same IP backbone as all our data!
