Like I said from the beginning..it won't take long before he starts calling subs pieces of shit, think we are entitled because we bought a sub, etc etc, just like with the Sirius yr of the subscriber!!
Of course when it started he was like, "this is different, they ARE our customers and DO pay us. Without them we have nuthin!!
You watch..after next week, a couple people will send emails about him takin time off, (like they have already about past times a few weeks ago), and he'll be like "fuck these people blah blah blah!! Mark my words!! I'm a genius!!
I'll go on the record and second that right now my friend.

I think it is possible, but maybe take a yr or so. Without the advertising he has on Cox, no one will no about it. Fuck, look how many people call that DO listen to FM and say they know nuthin about IO! People are stoopid, and don't really like paying for radio!!
That's kind of a big concern of mine related to Bubba. There IS no guarantee that Cox is going to re-sign him. Hell, he's in trouble in some of his markets (flawed ratings system to be sure, but that's what is in use). Radio is TEH SUCK, and he could easily be fucked on the deal.
He doesn't have any national promotion of IO going on, no outlet to tell people where he is, how to get him and what the show is about. Growth on IO will be slow to non-existent without it. Plus, renewable revenues for the first three years are going to be very, very slim, with the big push for everyone to pay for three years up-front (droppin' the tre).
I dunno. I'm worried. I like the damned show. I just don't know if they can afford to do it.

What ? Never !! Wait him and Bean both agree that the BRP was his/their best investment ever .......?

Well the bright side is, i don't think any of them have enough to retire, and with the new studios, he may be able to get income form other sources using those. So maybe he brings in MJ to do a show which brings in tons of money with his subs, then we get IO!!

Very strong points Pete. I hope it doesn't come to that, our only saving grace is that Bubba is stretched so thin financially (New Mansion, new studio, new race track, private plane, etc) he stands to lose it all if he doesn't get a new contract with cox, so he may have to swallow his prode and take what they give him and hope it's enough to cover his obligations. I was a bit concerned when he said he almost had to cut everyone's pay. That was an eye opener for me...

You know, it's pretty bad that we are already discussing the possible demise of the BRN. They really need to pull the nose up somehow, I just don't know how they will. I think their contract with Cox is up in six months. IMO everything hinges on whether or not they get re-signed. Have you guys noticed that Bubba seems to care about everything else but the show. He seems to be spending all of his energy on all of the outside projects, for example today, he was more excited about about driving a fucking bulldozer than putting on a good show. Pretty shitty if you ask me.

Yepper...just like any great defeat...like the Germans, Romans, etc!! Conquer new territory, don't worry about protecting what you already have!!
