Yep, my brother knows all the good spots up in the north end of the bay and I have a few good ones on the southwest side. Plus we split the cost, so I'm into for less than I paid for my kayak and we're keeping it at his house so I don't have to store it.

          • From radioinfo.com:

JVC Media Launches Country-Southern Rock Hybrid in Ocala-Gainesville. The company says that WTRS, Ocala-Gainesville is “evolving its format into a custom music mix of country and Southern rock as “US wxus102-3 – The Crossroads of Country and Rock.” The station is changing calls to WXUS. Program director Bo Hamilton says, “‘US 102-3’ has been researched and designed exclusively for North Central Florida. We spent weeks talking to our listeners, partners, and community leaders and found there is no need for another ‘cookie-cutter’ top 40 country station. This area has a rich country and Southern rock heritage that is unserved and ‘US 102-3’ fills that void.” OM Ben Burris adds, “We will tap into the deep musical heritage here by highlighting today’s biggest country stars like Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean alongside legendary influencing acts, including those with ties to North Florida including Lynyrd Skynyrd and Tom Petty, plus we’ll throw in icons like .38 Special and The Eagles.” The JVC Media-owned station will continue to air Bubba the Love Sponge in morning drive

              • I hate radio sometimes.

Though I'll give them credit for thinking outside the box a bit. But I'll do it begrudgingly. Since playing the fucking Eagles and .38 Special is in no way a bold move.

I have to give Bubba props for that too, it was a refreshing change of pace. But he had to fuck it up by being a dodgy, cheating ass sumbitch. He only has himself to blame for fucking up his experimental format.

They spent more on the consulting than they pay the afternoon guy in a year.

                    • All these fucking experimental radio formats are doomed to fail anyway. Commercial radio is where good ideas die a quick death.
