Credit has a lot to do with insurance too for some fucked up scam reason!

I assume what they think ur ability to pay, etc. Still think it sucks.

They use credit rating because they think the better your credit, the less of a chance you have of getting into an accident, the same goes for the higher your education is, as well as white collar jobs vs. blue collar jobs. I personally think it's bullshit, but the powers that be say they have mountains of data to back up these claims, so I just nod and go along with it

Unfortunately it's apples and oranges to an ins co. That's like saying I should get a discount or a lower price on my car policy because I have a motorcycle endorsement. They do offer a lot of other discounts though. Best thing to do is call em up and ask them to do a review of your policy for any applicable discounts you don't currently have listed on your policy, it's free and only takes a few minutes if your interested.

My best friends ex-wife has a master's degree and good credit, yet gets at least one ticket per year and an at fault accident every other year and my POS brother who didn't finish 10th grade and holds a menial manual labor job with horrible credit has never been in an accident or received a ticket, oh and he has a CDL, but refuses to go OTR, he expects a cushy local job to just land in his lap

I'm not a customer service rep budday. I don't deal with customers. I'm an underwriter, a behind the scenes dude who prices policies.

Nobody gets good local or regional for that matter without a year otr and that's if a guy with 2 years otr isn't competing for that job he will get a 13$ or 14$ job at best and he will be lucky to get that.
