Having not been a daily listener to BTLS at least since Spice left, but really since before that, I'm not fully aware of the circumstances surrounding 25s departure from the BRN, but having been loyal to Bubba and the organization for such a long time it must have been something serious that made him leave. This talk of spice and money and such dealing with his leaving the show seems suspect too... A bubba spin job?

While Mansons attitude pisses me off at times too, I can't fault him for keeping his head down and taking the easy paycheck. I've always envied his general honesty and appearance of contentness about life. He's very talented, and I just think that Bubba is no longer the muse he used to be.
it was one of manson's ned cd's that got me into Bubba.. I think manson realizes his talents aren't reaching the same audience and feels like it's kind of a waste.

But again that goes back to bubba being on sirius - if it wasn't for that my friend who had the ned cd never would have heard of bubba

After I first started listening to BTLS in 06 on Sirius, I remember how shocked I was to find out that "sensimilla street" was a Manson bit. I can remember downloading it on Napster in like 9th-10th grade and laughing unconrollably while imbibing with my friends.

And you're right, the audience just isn't what it used to be...

It's the national vs local fanbase issue IMO... it's harder and harder to keep the national audience interested when they can't go to BRP or go to some grocery store to meet tara or see manson in concert.

Sirius for some reason also had a big online following when it started... It still does but not to the same degree it did. Like all fads I guess it's popularity began to shrink.
