Looking at the raw ratings I saw the Bone made a considerable 'jump' post trial. I'm not sure that had anything to do with it, but it is interesting. If Bubba creates 'heat' in-house, he might help the other shows with listeners without the risk of getting sued.

Yeah, Bubba's numbers specifically apparently hit 2008 like numbers or higher around the time of the trial.

Between the lines? That is Bubba's clearly stated GOAL, and Burke has jumped on the bashing BMS bandwagon as well, which I think is utter bullshit. Plus what does that say to his IO audience that is fiercely loyal to his show? "I'm just biding my time here until I do real radio."

Yeah, the radio business isn't fair, and yeah the heat over his incident should've faded away now that he is a happy, stable, and responsible person. But life isn't fair, and there's that old adage about catching more flies with honey than vinegar and all it serves to do is get people to check out and sympathize with the BMS. And it makes Burke look like the type of guy he's desperately fought to prove that he isn't.

I loved the MJ stuff in 2008 and Bubba kept at it so long that, lawsuit aside, he eventually achieved his goal of burying the MJ Morning Show.

One problem with that....THERE IS NO COMPETITION IN TAMPA!!!!!! Thus the reason Bubba is able to dominate even though he no longer puts forth an effort. I don't listen to Cowhead, but the same is true for him, the competition part, I can't speak to prep/show quality portion.

Oh hey Chob, my youngest daughter came up with a funny In You face chop idea. "In your Face" with Drew Haribo and have Drew as a gummy bear on the front of the bag. I got a good chuckle out of it considering she's only 9. Her previous favorite was the Jew Garabo one.
