The sushi line was good. I would've said something along the lines of that it's a relief that that's what was the source of the fishy smell in the house, but that's a bit over the top I guess.

And to be the devil's advocate here, in an interview like that I'd imagine it's easy to get caught up in the moment between trying to hang and get a good chemistry going and responding to what is said, and trying to think of where to steer the conversation to next. It makes it easy to miss the obvious I guess.
