My point was simply that Stephen can't make a political issue out of this. It is a natural disaster and no one has dropped any major balls at this point.

So close to an election anything and everything will get politicized. I agree some things should not be or at the very least, not be taken advantage of for political gain but it can't be stopped.

Mistaken votes are massively different than how easily hackable the electronic voting machines are, this isn't exactly a conspiracy theory at this point. Fuck, even Bubba has played the clip of the computer programmer talking about Tom Feeney in florida.

These machines are so easy to break I could teach this forum how to do it in less than an hour with one of them on hand using only a laptop or tablet with wifi capabilities.

I think you are mistaken. the Superdome wasn't used until AFTER the storm the way I remember it. Regardless, my point is, it is up to local/state govs to run evacuations. THE National Guard was not on sight until after, except in staging areas. That is how I recall what happened.

Either way, again, my point is most of those people DID NOT take the warning to evacuate PRIOR too! Not when it is about to hit and then go..oh shit.!

I'm specifically talking about a large number of people including my relatives who were told point blank by the National Guard before katrina even got near the coast that they could not leave, and were to report to the local shelter, which was the stadium, and was being set up before the storm. I'm trying to help you understand while there were many idiots who didn't leave, there were just as many trying BEFORE THE STORM who could not.

If you don't want to believe me that is fine, but again, I've heard this both from my relatives lips and other's.

FEMA had been trying to get its talons into more things for years, Michael Brown was the perfect fallguy for an already shit situation to give them just the push they needed for TONS more funding. FEMA is now a major part of all planning at the state and federal level, in a position it couldn't have dreamed of being in prior to Katrina.
