Oh come on Brian..most of the people that were fucked in Katrina were the ones that REFUSED to evacuate! And it was a much worse event!

From family involved in Katrina and the shit I've read on it, seems like it was much the opposite, milk.

Relatives of mine were on foot since they had no access to a car at the time (long story) and were told to go back into the city by National Guard troops who had blocked off one of the major roads leaving their area. Their only option was to go to that shithole stadium, and they were not in the minority at all.

Regardless though, what Katrina should teach people is, don't build cities below sea level, seriously.
