I tried to give James the benefit of the doubt when he started grating on everyone here. But then there was the bullshit he pulled with being jealous of BL, and then trying to spin it as though he was concerned about him which he had never expressed prior. He was/is completely transparent.
You have a guy who, in all fairness to him, has a business, has a wife, and in general has a pretty kick ass life that he has made for himself despite the obstacles thrown in his way. And to be jealous of a kid who did shit for the show out of purely good intentions for years before asking for the DD slot once a week. That's pretty telling. He's not content unless he gets on air. And hey, I can appreciate people having radio as a hobby, and in 2012 it's easier than ever to put out a podcast/program a Shoutcast station or whatever. But there's other people that won't get that opportunity because they can't sink in that much money to buy that slot for themselves.
And as seen before, if he doesn't feel appreciated enough, he'll throw a hissy fit. What happens when he feels his show isn't given high enough billing? Or when the BRN gets sick of his shit and finds another herb supplier that isn't so high maintenance? A reasonable person would've thought back to that e-mail and said "screw giving this guy a shot, he'll just flip out again." But as long as he continues to buy everyone's favor, nothing sticks to him.
Sometimes people around here instantly dislike someone and I try to give them a chance they don't really deserve, because I automatically want to assume the best in people, and it turns out the rest of the folks here were right.
I'm sure he's a nice guy in person, and I really don't want to make it sound like I hate the guy. I don't know him. I just think the way he's weaseled his way into the BRN, and tossed another fan like BL under the bus in the process, is kind of lame.
