I heard of him because of his stand-up on Leno, Letterman, and Conan. As well as his shows on MTV and VH1.

Yeah it's a pipe dream. If Howard was to start his own IR company and build it from scratch with the best people in the business (management and talent) he knows, he could really become the biggest King of all Media.

OK, as much as I think Manson's ambivalent attitude can be aggravating at times, he's right. It is a pipe dream. And a lot has to fall into place. Hell on the off chance all the planets align and this becomes a reality on the IO platform than I would be satisfied having done the EE thing. Because I'm not going to pay for a sub again unless whatever happens ends up looking more promising than IO currently does.

I do think there is still a desire to do that kind of thing in Howard. He thought that's what he would get at Sirius XM, he thought he'd be a "partner" and the people that promised him that left. And Mel only cares about the bottom line, which as CEO he should.
