Bubba the Love Sponge Listening Thread (week of 6/25/2012)
So tucker isn't going to reveal that the actual story of this probe is that the ATF was underfunded and forced to watch guns go across the border because of lax state laws on purchasing guns?
The same guns the government put in the system that killed some folks?
Yeah, they are just going to ignore the actual investigation and assume that this operation was bungled from the start by holder. The operation started back in 2005 and took forever to get started because the task force was compromised and "doomed to fail".
The same guns the government put in the system that killed some folks?
The investigation revealed that the guns were bought, given over and they exposed the fact that those guns were going to the cartel. The state prosecutors, rather than give the go ahead to arrest them and file charges, didn't think they could do much with the evidence BECAUSE THE LAWS ARE LAX, and waited 3 days before deciding what to do while the Atf was forced to watch the guns dissapear.
The guns that killed the border patrol agent wasn't purchased by atf, they knew the gun was purchased by a suspected gun runner. But according to the laws,he purchased them legally and they had no ability to arrest him, and prosecutors after the killing didn't want to bring up charges because the laws are loose.
It's not illegal for a person to purchase a gun in Arizona and give it to the cartel. Because the person can say they did not purchase the gun with the intent to harm someone.
