yeah mp3s pretty much ruined the whole new record experience. i like the convenience but i miss going to the record store at opening time when a band i liked put a new record out and going home to listen to it while going through the booklet and all that.

I miss going to specialty record stores where you could find shit you couldn't anywhere else. There was two here, one of them closed. The other is near the two major campuses, so it'll continue to get decent business from audiophiles and hipsters.

yeah we used to take road trips to indie record stores to find uk imports and stuff you couldn't get at the regular stores
