It's not really "nothing" per se. But it's kind of funny how they rip into him for something that could accidentally get them fired, to something Bubba insists gets done, on purpose, that could have that same effect.

If he's worried about their jobs, he wouldn't fucking do it. Honestly, and I don't know what's in the guy's head, I think he may be, at least subconsciously, trying to get fired and get paid the rest of his contract while he plays at the dirt track.
