Bubba the Love Sponge Listening thread (week of 2/6/2012) *New Studio Smell Edition*
cause they are experiencing a loss of data packets to IO and when that happens an underlaying track kicks in I believe
At least it doesn't seem to be happening at the new studio, or so that I've heard. But when the rest of the programming comes from the old studio, that's not much of an improvement.

Someone get friggin Marc Chase in there already.
no when the new studio goes to commercial it was completely ending the stream... I had to restart the stream altogether.
not really an improvement IMO cause at least with the bleeding over your stream keeps going
I made a coffee this morning and came back downstairs to silence... I was like WTF?
it's basically why my skype sucks dick... it can't upload enough data fast enough and parts of my words get cut off
HOWEVER
I use a better program that uses less bandwidth and BUFFERS my shit before outputting it - (it collects the data so if there is loss it has a chance to recover said data before being sent out)
so IO needs to buffer their shit to stop the data loss...

milk am I even close?
Yeah that seems to be what is happening. VLC will buffer as well, but if it is losing data as it sees it, (be it what should be heard or a mercial), it doesn't care, it is still getting data so no real buffering replay is taking place.
I'd say your analogy (diagram) is close to what is technically happening.
