The Shannon Burke Show Listening Thread (December 2011)
West coast feed is talkin' fishin'. What's the deal with Bubba today? How was the IO show?
Yep, catchin the replay of what I missed. Bubba had a "sore throat". missed about half the Io show, what I caught wasn't anything worth mentioning, cuz I forget!
Yeah, back when gas was 5 bucks a gallon, going offshore for grouper was not for the faint of heart (or wallet).
That's why it's for recreation and not food. But, our shore lunches of fresh walleye are worth every penny. Shit, now I have to check the freezer for some panfish. Damn, I'm hungry.

Our shore lunch consists of Speckled Sea Trout, Redfish & Snook (aka the inshore slam) hard to find anything better!

Cpt., with full awareness of your disdain for me, I still have to say that you are making some strong points.
Is that available in Feb.? I'm thinkin' about next year.
Trout and Reds yes, snook depend on the water temp. They don't handle the cold water well at all, where as the other two love it. Another good coldwater fish is the Sheephead, tough to clean but the flaky white meat is so worth it.
