I'm not sure if i got it, the pluses and minuses are the point spread
and the plus team is the underdog so you get those points .so you can win
even if your team doesnt (if they keep it within the points). or the other way around your team can win but not cover the points(minus team)and you lose the bet ...i think

In every event there is an option to play each team straight up.. The odds work accordingly, If the Broncos were playing the Packers the odds would favor the packers heavy, So every dollar u place on the Pack you would prolly only get .25 back.. On the other hand take the Broncos and every dollar u bet you would prolly win 2.00..
So.. They set lines, +/- certain amount of points/goals to bring the odds back to even..
Example the same game would have the Broncos +13 for even money..
Or the Packers -13 for even money..
It takes a little while to get the hang of and I'm not the best at explaining..
