Bubba Army Radio Listening Thread (week of 10/10/2011)
Netflix is limited to the US is it? That would be stoopid!
From Wikipedia:
Netflix had preliminary plans to expand to the UK in 2004, but the expansion was cancelled as Netflix concentrated its services on the U.S. market.[102] Zip.ca currently[when?] markets itself as a Canadian equivalent to Netflix. On July 19, 2010 Netflix announced that in the fall of 2010 it would launch its instant streaming service in Canada, making Canada the first international market expansion for Netflix.[103] On September 22, 2010, Netflix became available in Canada for $7.99/month, but with a severely limited selection due to licensing restrictions. However, since the initial launch in Canada, Netflix has since improved their movie database and continues to add titles several times per week.[104]
On September 23, 2010, company CEO Reed Hastings announced that Netflix aims to expand beyond the U.S. and Canadian market. "For now, we're focused on Canada," Hastings said in an interview. "If we succeed in Canada, we will certainly look at other markets."[105]
Netflix announced on July 5, 2011 that by the end of 2011 it would expand its services into 43 countries and territories in Latin America and the Caribbean, offering items in English, Spanish and Portuguese.[106] On September 5, Brazil became the first country in Latin America to introduce the service, followed by Argentina on September 7, Chile on September 8, Colombia on September 9 and Mexico on September 12, with the rest of the continent having the service in the next few weeks.
BTW, quick CD review: Richard Christy's Charred Walls of the Damned band released "Cold Winds on Timeless Days" yesterday.
Positives:
Much better mix than the first CD, you can actually hear the bass guitar now.
Richard's drumming is, again, incredible. He really is an idiot savant. Fucking awesome.
Guitar work is improved, Ripper's voice is always top-notch.
Negatives:
Songwriting still blows, overall. There are maybe four songs on the CD that I was initially impressed with. The rest are truly backfill metal.
Guitar solos need to be more than 4-8 bars. Jesus H. Christ, Richard, don't you get it? We luvs us some guitar!

I'm not mad I spent $10 on it.
I liked the last one. I wish the band would come up here.
