I'm not a programming genius, but I think the best choice would be a hybrid of just following Bubba and the guys around, and in studio footage from FM (maybe even censored io footage) a la Stern's old E! show. That way you introduce people to the radio show itself, the national audience can seek out io, and then you have new listeners in droves.

They may not stick around, but oh well.
