I heard the call where Bubba restates he's retiring. I don't know what's going on, but I'll just say that Stern has been saying he's going to retire for over 20 years. I take everything with a grain...no...make that a truckload of salt.

Bubba has really never played that part of the game. I recall hearing a few years ago him saying he'd like to retire (from radio) around 50.

True. But saying it, and actually doing it are different things altogether. I don't know his finances besides what he mentions on air, but for the type of life he likes to live, I don't think he could afford to retire so soon unless he gets a TV show that gives him a lot of money or io gets real big real fast.

Yeah I can't see Heather spending her golden years in a modular home on the BRP property as Bubba has dreamed up. If this retirement thing is true, Spice has got to be a little pissed, he just bought a house (which he's already having issues w/his neighbor..what a rib) and I personally don't think he has what it takes to run a show on his own (at least as successful as Bubba). Brent will be fine as he can be a behind the scenes dude at pretty much any station. The rest of the BRN staff may wind up on the Obama plan unfortuntely.
