Drew Garabo gets the morning slot on Tampa's 97X

Looks like I was wrong.

I am taking the month of July off of the RadioIO show to focus on the new gig at 97X. I am 100% sincere when I say that I truly want to return to RadioIO in August. BTLS has shown a hell of a lot of support and belief in me and I want to repay him by continuing the IO show. That said, I can't let it affect the paying gig at 97X. I'm pretty certain he'll understand that.

I have to credit BTLS and the Bubba Army for helping me fall back in love with broadcasting. After suffering through a format flip and subsequent termination in 2008, I thought I was done with radio forever. The warm welcome I received from Bubba Army felt incredible and made me realize that radio is in my blood. Thanks for everything.

I think you should make every effort to find a way to come back in Aug. to once again say thanks. even if you miss an hr or 2 of sleep remember you would prob not have this gig if you did not have this platform or bubba's recommendation.
