Not up to much, spent the early part of my day off repairing a hole in my roof from a branch that punched through. Just listening to the uncensored show right now. The crisis has been averted just in time for the rain to start again.

Cpt., with full awareness of your disdain for me, I still have to say that you are making some strong points.

Here's how I found out. I went into our music room/2nd den and saw water on the floor. At first, I thought the dog had peed, but it was clear water so I looked in the laundry room thinking it might have been a leak, then my daughter told me she heard a huge bang on the roof yesterday so I went up there and there was a fist sized hole from a branch that punched through.

Well that sucks, too bad the daughter couldn't tell you yesterday!
After assessing the damage I cut away a bit of the wood, put a 1x4 where the hole was. tucked some tarpaper under the existing portion of the roof, then went to the home depot, bought some of that roof tar shit. Tarred the shit out of the area placed another piece of tarpaper over tarred area. Once again tarred the 2nd tarpaper area, covered with gravel and job was done. Not that bad overall and no real water damage so it's all good.

She actually did, but I triple righted her, so the rib was on me I guess. She actually said "Next time maybe you won't job me out and take me a bit more serious"...
