Exactly, it's principle for them at this point, plus it's been going on for so long they're fully invested. They've been made fools of and their proprietary system has been gamed, SOMEONE MUST PAY!!!Originally posted by Drew GaraboCpt., with full awareness of your disdain for me, I still have to say that you are making some strong points.

Nielsen wants Bubba to leave terrestrial forever would be one of my guesses & he wants as much air time he can get, he has nothing to settle with.Originally posted by Cpt. Mcgillicutty View Post
I'm guessing it's his attorneys stalling for more time. Remember, he tried to settle through mediation a couple times and they got nowhere. I'm telling you, Neilsen wants to make an example out of him and they also want their pound of flesh.

Just think, when he loses this case he'll likely owe them upwards of one million dollars, plus all his years of legal fees. And don't forget, he still owes the IRS a quarter mil (plus penalties I would imagine) and that 75 lizzarge to BoA. I personally never said they'll force him off air, but if they win, how does he pay them? Plus his chances of getting picked up are pretty much null and void because he'll legally be branded a ratings cheat and nobody new will want to be associated with him. Sure, he'll probably be able to languish away on AM, but I don't see much more than that. My point was financially how will he be able to continue?Originally posted by FishMuskys View Post
Nielsen can't force anyone off of radio. If they propose something that stupid it would prove collusion.Originally posted by Drew GaraboCpt., with full awareness of your disdain for me, I still have to say that you are making some strong points.

Great question, and one I have no answer for unfortunately. My guess is that the track is probably under some kind of LLC or something that protects him and Bean from stuff like this. I do know they can't go after his house because of Florida's homestead protection laws.Originally posted by Amigo View PostCouldn't Nielsen get a lien on Bubba's half, if it won a judgment and he could not pay?Originally posted by Drew GaraboCpt., with full awareness of your disdain for me, I still have to say that you are making some strong points.

Nielsen should just drop it. This is only gonna expose them for being frauds. Their methods of calculating are not even close to somewhat accurate. They are a monopoly that are somehow responsible for millions of dollars of ad dollars. They can and have been easily paid off by stations. They are a joke. I hope this case hurts them and their "credibility".
