What does salt water do to a boat? Particularly carpeting. Reason I'm asking...we have a 16' Mirrocraft deep-V with a 50 horse Yamaha 4-stroke and trolling motor. Rear tiller so there isn't a steering wheel in the way. It handles nice on rough water. Really nice trailer too.

Is it worth haulin' down there? It wouldn't cost much extra to bring it. We've caught huge muskies in it...can't see why tarpon would be any different.

I'd say 3 people would be comfortable in it. We'd just have to split the fishin' times but if we have a week...

Beats renting a boat I figure.
