I agree that watching a walkthrough for a whole game is shitty and ruins it, but watching simple gameplay videos of people just playing the game (especially if this is an online game) doesn't really ruin anything and just gives you an idea of what you're in for.

some games have limited weapons that you have to purchase and the game is structured so you can't have everything... so maybe you want to see a comparison of the weapons in action before you make a choice that's going to influence the gameplay from that point out...
