Is that on FM or te internets? I never hear that shit on FM...well rarely. but as I said, it is only when driving around.

That was FM via The Tunein app, which is exactly the same as what goes over the regular air.

I really don't think it is the same. Same with the Bone on tune in..all kinds of PSA's when I used to listen.

Public Service Announcements are traditionally used by radio stations as either a trade agreement for carrying nationally-syndicated shows (like Lovelines) or as a way to fill spot breaks that are devoid of paying advertisers. They are not a source of revenue. You are correct in that there is no money to be found in playing them.
