  • So anyone can buy those then? Even so, say he had 1000 of those running 24 hrs. How much would that even help? I can't see it making a bit of difference in the grand scheme of things.

That's a good point. It must be worth it though if its even being alleged I would think? Why risk your career over a few extra votes?

It would explain the bone's rating going down, tuned the station somewhere else when he was fired from cox, then he builds the current ratings on 98.7.

Well, it's easy t deduct why someone would say someone is cheating...been going on for years with every kind of rating deal there is.

But seeing how easily available they are, what's to say every station isn't doing something with them, like used to be done with the mailers?

I just find it hard to believe allegations in a lame radio war from either side. I mean consider the sources?

                • I'm pretty sure they have to be activated like a cell phone or other service based device to actually give any data. Hence Bubba getting one from the nurse. Ordering a lot like that probably wouldn't do shit as they aren't activated for anything.

Dude, come on, there is no way on hell that would account for 70% plus of ratings. How about Cowshit just fucking sucks? As he has every other time in this market?

                    • You have to be enrolled in a panel, and the panels change every 28 days!

                      • Arbitron contacts individuals (called panelists) in markets where listener surveys are to be conducted. The company builds a random sample by assembling the panelists which eventually become a "panel" - a group of people who have agreed to carry the PPM. (In Arbitron's original diary method, the "panel" was called the "sample".)PPM survey periods last for 28 days.

                          • A couple of them actually in a panel could make a big difference, but sounds like way to much work if you ask me.
