I am legend was written in the 50's... omega man I think came out almost at the same time as night of the living dead.

Yeah, Romero was inspired by the book I am Legend. I really like that original Night of Living Dead, it is a really well shot piece. He does a lot with a little.

I'm not normally a huge film nerd but Romero is a special case. Day of the Living Dead is one of my favorite movies from my childhood. Really crazy flick.
