OK to me it seemed they always had a competition wif megadeth ever since mustain split ways with them....which in my opinion megadeth won the race to sell out or at least cross over with MTV... So metallica did the Black album out of jealousy and made it big on rock stations and drew a different crowd ...then realized that they were not the band they used to be
tried to get back to their roots on st anger but couldn't let go of the formula they had developed from the black album..so it failed and the old fans (ME) still know it's not as it was .....
