I look back now at how shitty kids are nowadays and how some of my friends were and I really think my parents got off pretty easy. Never touched a drug, barely sipped a drink and was always home on time. My major issue was fighting with my POS brother. That was a non-stop war in the house.

Sounds like the same for me, but after I moved out at 17, that's when I started drinking and smoking.

Russ and the crew are very understanding about taking time off. It's refreshing to see someone not blow up about it.

I think the coach did it as a motivational deal. If not, that's pretty messed up. Aren't you supposed to say you'll do well even if you know you won't? I think if the US can get a win vs Ghana and Germany and Portugal beat each other up in their first game, we'll have a decent chance of getting out.

I hope so Cap. That comment was very 'Herb Brooks-like' , but Ghana has had the USA's number in the past.

That is an excellent point, Ghana seems to be the USA's kryptonite the last two cups. Let's hope that changes in 2014.
