...Former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight titleholder Tito Ortiz was arrested Monday on suspicion of domestic violence in connection with an incident at the home he shares with longtime girlfriend Jenna Jameson.
According to a report on website TMZ, when police arrived at the pair's home in Huntington Beach, California following a 911 call at 9:53 a.m., Jameson had "visible injuries."
Lt. Mike Reynolds of the Huntington Beach Police Department told Loretta Hunt of MMA website Sherdog.com that officers were called to the pair's home by the alleged victim's father. Reynolds would not confirm the identity of the alleged victim.
Jameson, wearing sunglasses and near tears as she left the home, told a TMZ cameraman she plans on pressing charges.
When asked if she was OK, Jameson responded: "Yeah, I'm OK . . . I can't really talk about it right now."
Jameson, before pulling away, said her children were safe. "Everything's OK. He's in jail."
Ortiz was arrested and moved to the Huntington Beach Police Department for booking and to be arraigned. He left his house escorted by officers to a waiting police cruiser, wearing red fight shorts and a grey jacket with his hands cuffed behind his back.
According to Sherdog.com, Reynolds said Ortiz will be able to post bail once he is arraigned. The district attorney's office will be reviewing the case and decide whether to press charges.
Jameson, the former adult film star, and Ortiz have 13-month-old twin boys together. They have been dating since 2006.
Ortiz, who last fought for UFC in November, is currently starring in Season 11 of The Ultimate Fighter. He was scheduled to fight again in June at UFC 115 versus Chuck Liddell, but was replaced during filming of The Ultimate Fighter by Rich Franklin.
The reason for his early departure and removal from UFC 115 have not yet been made public.CODComment
