Bethlehem police reported a spate of crimes this weekend, many of them alcohol-related:



A 27-year-old Berks County man is accused of trying to drunkenly break into a home in the 2000 block of West Broad Street in the city that he apparently thought was his own, police said. A neighbor called police to report a half-naked man was on the porch of the home at about 2:28 a.m. Sunday. Aaron Michael Ward, 27, of Mesa Drive in Sinking Springs, allegedly stripped off his urine-soaked clothes and began climbing up a door in an attempt to get through a window, police said. The homeowners, who were not home at the time, had no idea who Ward was. Ward was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill to be treated after he cut himself on glass. He faces charges of criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and criminal mischief.


A Massachusetts woman was found at 10:23 p.m. Saturday sitting drunk in her blue Porsche in the 1800 block of Paul Avenue with human feces next to her car, police said. Police responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle found Mary Lance-Kochis, 42, sitting in her car. Lance-Kochis was slurring her speech, couldn't open her car window and it appeared she had defecated in the street next to her car, police said. When exiting her car, Lance-Kochis buttoned and zipped her pants, police said. She faces a charge of driving under the influence.


Joshua Mount, 24, of Cottage Street in Forks Township, was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness at 12:25 a.m. Saturday at Starters Riverport. Mount allegedly tried to come into the bar, stopped at the door, went into a defensive stance and struggled with officers, police said.
