I really think the walking dead's first two episodes have been pretty good. Rick has finally put the python back on his hip and will see the old Rick Grimes fucking zombies and other people up.

The show really needed Rick and Carl on the road, but they've already blown a ton of the "growing points" from the comic like the phone thing. I'm quickly losing confidence in this season being anything other than a stalling period between interesting arcs.

I kinda understand them sticking with the prison due to the cost of sets and filming but it really hurts the show to see them still there after the finale.

I wish them luck I really do but with the bullshit about a spinoff already that would have 0 to do with the comics it seems like AMC is just going to burn up the good will they generated and shove out a couple rushed seasons to capitalize on what they had.

Granted for the audience they are appealing to (general population) I'm sure it will do stellar up until it slowly lumbers across the finish line for one last ankle grab.

I like the comic quite a bit, it is one of the better ongoing pieces of fiction I've read. I like the world and how they will kill off a main character because they feel like it, instead of holding them up on some holy pedestal like most books.

I also have enjoyed a good portion of the TV show. But as I said I just am concerned AMC is gonna AMC the fuck out of this show and burn it into the ground. Just like they are trying to do with Breaking Bad and the stupid Saul bullshit now, and appear to be doing with both this current season and the planned walking dead spinoff.

I will certainly not give up on them just yet but my tolerance has gotten really low recently when it comes to sticking with television shows.

Yeah apparently they are trying to recreate the highway "horde" from the comic. I wish them luck, apparently they had an absolute MASSIVE ton of people on hand for that. Should be interesting.
