      Me too. Looks really...dark.

          • Here's one of these opinions I'm sure Drew would call hyper criticism:

Today with that stand up guy in studio just made me realize how much better I personally think the show was with Tuddle in studio.

You may berate me now about how the show is so much better without him blah blah - but that's just your opinion. Neither are right, neither are wrong.

I think drew is doing awesome on his own, but for personal reason I think it was much better with me there.

              • I dont think drew needs a permanent co-host but i did like that tuddle would pop in and out on like he did it really added something good to the show.

Agreed drew doesn't need a cohost to thrive. It took me more then a 6 years and two different stint working with drew to know his balance. Even now he would have to direct me to back it down when I started to tuddle him.

You know the show better than just about anybody, Tuds. You know I have nothing but love and gratitutde for you. If the show expands in the future time-wise, I would certainly be open to bringing people in. I do enjoy having people to work off, but only in doses. At least for now.

Finnegan is one of my favorite all-time guests. His musical trivia prowess surpasses mine and Mark McGrath's combined! SJ, I do appreciate that you think the show was "better" with Tuddle. Like you said, there's no right or wrong, there's no better or worse, there just "is." Thankfully, the ratings are great right now. I appreciate you guys weighing in on the show.

Besides all your great points I wouldn't want anybody to mess up the awesome tag line for the show now. "One Man, One Mic" . "Two Men One Mic" sounds like it could be a gay porn movie.

                      • I think it was a great era of the show, but post blow up, I don't think the dynamic would be the same. There would still be tension no matter how much time has passed.

I've said in the past, regarding radio fandom, that when things are going well and you're really enjoying a show you need to occasionally take time to sit back and enjoy the moment because, in radio in particular, things tend to change very suddenly.

I was listening back to some Shannon best of with Colin and realized just how short the period was when we had those two as a team uncensored, but I know how much of an impact those few months had on fans.

If you ask some Stern fans what their favorite era of the show was, you usually get an answer that only includes a few years of a career spanning decades. And that's a period much longer than what people would describe as their favorite eras of other shows, although he has had a lot larger of a fanbase and has had a longer career than most.

I don't know if this hardcore ADD is a phenomenon exclusive to hardcore radio fans, but I've found living in the past tends to not enjoying much of anything. I think it has a lot to do with being a medium that relies on being fresh and spontaneous for a few hours, typically five days a week. You don't get that anywhere else. It's what I and many others love about the medium, but it's what burns out a lot of others fairly quick.

I hope I made some sense in that rambling diatribe.

                            • On a less long winded note, I can accept Affleck, but I'm really enthusiastic about the Brian Cranston as Lex Luthor rumors. The more I think about it, the more prefect it seems.
