I've always heard East St. Louis, Illinois is so bad that they based a fictional DC Universe city off it and made it worse than Gotham.

I'm not arguing with you but if you have done your research (which I'm sure you have), that is a huge sweeping blanket statement to say that this was the sole cause of the collapse.

And Chicago will not suffer the same fate, it just won't happen.

It's a shithole. But they have a casino and for some real strange reason they tend to produce a lot of great basketball players.
