Depends..if you are just out and about it would be a douche move..but if you are at a known paid autograph session, like MOST top athletes do, it isn't!

I think it's fine at a signing, but if someone comes up to you in public, yeah it's kind of douchey to ask, but asking for money in that situation is ridiculous.
