I have no idea what they were thinking, that it could be one company in the states, and two here. I am a Sirius subscriber, why am I constantly being reminded that I am listening to SiriusXm?
    What the fuck, Nerdboy?

The crtc thought it was too much a monopoly... then sirius showed them their earnings and the crtc said that any companies run so poorly couldnt monopolize anything... lol

        Just like Howard predicted.

NEW YORK (AP) — Talk show host Laura Schlessinger won't stay away from radio very long — only a weekend, in fact.

Sirius XM Radio said Monday it has a multiyear deal with Schlessinger to bring her "Dr. Laura" advice program to satellite radio in January. Specific terms were not revealed.

Schlessinger had said in August she was quitting her syndicated radio program, a week after she apologized for using the N-word on the air 11 times while talking to a black woman, and activists demanded her ouster.

She ends her traditional radio program on Friday, Dec. 31. The following Monday, she starts at Sirius.

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Sirius XM(SIRI_) has extended its satellite broadcasting and marketing deal with the National Football League for five more years.
"We are pleased to continue our partnership with Sirius XM," NFL executive vice president of media Steve Bornstein said. "They have been an excellent partner and have become part of NFL fans' daily lives, not only on game day, but also throughout the year.

Sirius and the NFL signed a 7-year, $220 million contract in August 2004. Financial terms of the extension were not disclosed. Sirius will continue to broadcast all NFL games live through the 2016 Super Bowl.
NFL Radio will remain on channel 124. Sirius XM will also broadcast NFL play-by-play online for its satellite radio subscribers from the start of the 2011 season.

Richard Pryor would have celebrated his 70th birthday this month, so in his honor Sirius XM will launch Richard Pryor Radio, a four-day uncensored channel devoted to the comedian's decades of groundbreaking work (and profane language).

Richard Pryor Radio will launch Dec. 30 at 5:00 am ET and will run through 11:59 pm ET on Jan. 2 on SIRIUS channel 108 and XM channel 139. The channel will feature hundreds of tracks from live concert performances, stand-up gigs and comedy albums spanning 1968-1992.

Sure, they don't have to negotiate a contract with him, and don't have to pay him shit. I'm sure they have to pay someone broadcast rights, that's prolly about it.
