Shannon with Bubba. I don't like it.

I've listened to Burke with Bubba and I gave it a week or whatever. I don't like it. I like Shannon fine and I think Shannon does awesome - but paired with Bubba, not at all. he's too glossy - and there's nothing glossy about Bubba's show - which is what makes it what it is.

The show needs someone to counter Bubba, hes constantly surrounded by yes men, which is why Im glad Brent is gone, he was one of the worst, Burke can be the counter to Bubba, and he does, sometimes, but he needs to step it up.

The show is so bad now with Spice, Brent and 25 gone, it actually makes me clamor for the FM-only Mon-Thu days of yore. I can't even listen to more than a few minutes of it before one of them makes me want to vomit, especially Tara. Shannon is a very, very good radio personality, but he doesn't mesh well at all with this group. I hope the exposure is good for him, helping him land his own morning gig somewhere. He's better and FAR more motivated than Bubba is these days.

Hey Evrabawdy! Hope everyone arou d these parts is doing well... Had a death in my family so I haven't been on the forums at all during the whole Shando/Bubba Crossover.

The way I look at it, I guess it COULD be a whole lot worse. Bubba has a style that is completely different than Shannon, and I think it's frankly just a bit akward in there right. I hope as Shannon gets more comfortable on the BTLS show, he'll be more apt to oppose Bubba.

There have definitely been some funny moments the last couple weeks and for the first time in well over a year I find myself listening to the morning show with at least some regularity. I'm happy for Shando (and for Ledge, who got a defacto promotion). With all that said, the Big Tex bullshit is dumb as fuck, and Bubbas constant need to belittle Shannon in a passive aggressive manner in order to enforce his superiority and "put Shannon in his place" is a great example of his insecurity.

I respect Bubba for building a radio empire and making the BRN and RadioIO into something that I listen to every day. He's an entrepreneur and a marketing master. He knows how to cater to the audience that will make him the most money and his success cannot be denied. Shannon is incredibly talented, and bubba seems to be a bit intimidated by that talent. He's afraid people will like Shando more than they like him. If he'd stop waving his dick around all the time he'd realize that Shando just wants to get back in the mainstream and caters to a different audience mostly, and doesn't really pose a threat.

I think this stuff CAN be good, it's just going to take some time. It may fail too, but it's good for Shando, and in a year or two he will be out on his own again anyway... This is a steppingstone for him.

I haven't had a chance to listen a lot yet to the new format. From what I heard I like Shannon in studio. He's the only one really adding to the show right now. Manson is phoning it in from his bank account and Tara annoys the shit out of everyone. I don't like Hurricane and probably will never adjust to him. He helped the midget and the midgets show sucked fucking balls and now THAT is what bubba's show is. It's mj's old boring "hi I'm 50, get your wife to listen" radio and it's not at all what bubba made his name from.


My thoughts are Tara needs to go. Not knocking her abilities, just that she totally does not fit in to the show at all.


old days bubba wasn't afraid to get a fine or push the envelope (that doesn't mean do gay stunts fat ass) but nowadays it seems like he's trying to get everyone else in trouble to make his shitty show look better

I agree that this can help him get back on FM.

But I don't like how bubba punished us for IO when it was his failure. He blamed the audience for not digging in harder and took it out on us by shortening the show. He should have done the opposite if he wanted it to gain momentum. No one is going to tell their friends to tune into a 40 minute show that might or might not be on

Sorry for your loss, same sit here. I do like Shando on there, he is standing up to Bubba and not a yes man by no means! How much will he get away with, unknown yet. To me he is at least counter programming him and making the show more listenable.

I do agree, sucks Shando doesn't have the 4 hr IO show..but that is a road to no where, so maybe Shando can get some traction back in radio! Hope it works for him!

Meanwhile, the more he talks...the less Tara has a chance to! She has rooned the show for me!
