Unfairly so I think. It was very well known Sr played by his own rules when it came to the safety stuff. I mean shit, he still wore an open face helmet, moved belt mounts, etc. Just a bad racin deal. Sure as hell wasn't Simpson's fault, as it was portrayed by many.
What about the times that Dale had blacked out while in the car? It's documented that he had on one occasion.
There are a lot that are not released, happens all the time!
I'm just saying that shut doesn't go down in Daytona if NASCAR doesn't want it to. How many DUI's has France gotten out of because the Daytona beach Police department would not dare arrest a France. Also food for thought NASCAR is the only sport that is owned by 1 entity. No other professional sport can you say that.
Didn't they change FL law so as not to release them?
I think after the lawsuits happened from media that wanted them released. I really see no reason to release any autopsy photos to anyone without a need to know.
Crime seen photos are different IMO. There was no crime here, and NASCAR has no reason to have to release wreck photos like that. They haven't of any other driver that has died at a track. Not that I know of anyhow.

You say no crime, but a major lawsuit letting a driver in a car when he had a history that season of blacking out while in the car.
