funny he brings this up, i just read a story where some stores have to throw food away because it has some blemish or just recently expired by date, but is perfectly good to eat. Estimates say in the USA the supermarkets throw away up to 40% of all the food they receive. That's a lot of waste.

Yep, Lerch, I had a buddy who was a manager at a local grocery store and he got to bring home an ass load of "damaged" items and "close to expiration" items as well. He ate like a king for free, CGB would have been so proud.
